It literally was a dream come true for me. I hadn't been back to Batesville in 13 years & I was always impressed by Fred's & their outstanding menu & food. Two of the best people in the world treated me to the best catfish, hushpuppies, pickled green tomatoes, brown beans & onion. I was home. I cant wait to go back. It will definitely be sooner than later.

They are so friendly here. I love it! They have fast service and great food.

I'm only giving four stars due to the service we received otherwise I would have given a five star rating. The food was amazing and i requested my food a certian way and it was cooked perfect. The food is delicious. The server we had was hateful but can't judge all servers on just her work. I do recommend Fish House to anyone who wants a good meal!

Fish is pretty good, not the best by no means but ok. However, the french fries are about the worst I've ever had. Get the baked potato instead.

This is the best place for catfish in all of NE Arkansas. Beans, hush puppies, pickled green tomatoes, sweet tea... Good stuff right there.

Use to love this place, but something has changed about this place over the last several years. Not has good as it use to be. Most of the time the fish has a very fishy taste and it’s very frustrating that one piece might be good and the next taste like I just pulled it out of the wild and took a bite. Yuck!

It was a peaceful little cozy place! I truly, truly enjoyed. The waiters were really inviting. They make u feel welcome. For me being a person of color, that's saying a whole lot! Now back to the drawing board. The food what I ate or tried was delicious! I ordered a big steak with salad and fried okra. To each his or her own! But I can only speak for myself! Every bite was better than the last! And I mean that about everything I tried! Fred's Fish house u definitely has claimed to more very happy customers!! 😊😊😊😊

The catfish was yummy! Will be back to eat again from Angel's Camp, California Calaveras County home of the famous jumping frog jubilee.

Catfish was excellent, ample serving size with great side dishes also. Rivals any catfish in Arkansas that I have eaten. The hush puppies were delicious too. They have a full menu of other choices also. Available is chicken, burgers, steaks and more. Wait staff excellent too. Just a darn good place to eat.

Great food. I had the butterfly shrimp and it was just the ticket. All the little extra dishes they bring before the meal, slaw, pinto beans,hushpuppies, pickled tomatoes are just icing on the cake. Excellent service make this one of my favorite places.

This is my daughter's favorite place. She has to go the day she comes home to visit from Buffalo New York. She says that Fred's Catfish is Arkansa's version of the Buffalo wild wings level in her eyes. She advertises it all over Western New York.

They're always really busy so it took a while to get our food but it's so worth the wait. Great prices and absolutely delicious food. I love the fish and pickled tomatoes.

We love Fred's Fish House. They have absolutely great food for the most part. Yesterday we decided to get something different. My husband order BBQ ribs which were not dressed in BBQ sauce. They had Buffalo Wild Wing sauce on them and it was nasty. The smell alone was horrible. I ordered grilled chicken which had entirely too much sauce on it. The rest of the food was great as always and they were very willing to fix it. Yes, we will eat there again and yes we would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Excellent place, best fish dinners we have had in Arkansas. The service is superb, waitress was very sweet and attentive to our needs without hovering over the table. Accomodated our dining desires and wonderful attitude. We have just found our favorite fish house.

Great food! But my favorite is the Cajun grilled fish. I love the fried catfish but I think the Cajun grilled fish is my favorite.

We came in close to closing time and the employees welcomed us right in...you could tell place had been busy. We were greeted by everyone, and when the food came... 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Hubby had the fried catfish and I had the grilled catfish...both were excellent, all the sides were delicious...especially enjoyed the green tomato pickles! Will definitely come back next time we are in Batesville!

The food was delicious. I had the Butterflied Shrimp my husband had the Catfish. We would go back.

Good portions on the servings and a great value for the price given all the sides that are provided. Our stop was mid-afternoon, and the locals had a steady stream in. The catfish batter was fried to a nice golden brown. The fillets are hot & moist, not greasy. My next trip to Batesville and I will definitely stop again.

We have been traveling for about 4 months and this place has had the best food!!

Unfortunately the food was nowhere near worth the money, ate less than a third of it and decided it wasn’t worth even taking home. I will say they gave me a refund and had extremely friendly service!! As for the food, if you’re going to pay these prices I’d recommend just making the drive to Mountain Home AR Fred’s Fish house. Much much better.

My boyfriend's parents came in from out of town to visit today. I suggested we try Fred's Fish House. We all ordered the Lil Un. The food was amazing! We all agreed that this was hands down "the best fish place we had eaten" in a long time. Hot and fresh with all the sides. The staff were very attentive, despite the busy lunch crowd. The staff served our food with a smile and some small talk. Absolutely love this restaurant!!! I will definitely be back and recommend to others.
